Step 1

Select the NAICS link above.  This is a large database and depending on your Internet speed, it may take a few moments. When the NAICS page displays, simply select a category in the pink highlighted area that best fits your business.  Find the six digit number that closely references your industry and write that down. Note: make sure you find a six digit number.

Step 2

To verify that your company qualifies as a small business, click on the SBA link in the navigation bar above. Remember this database is large and may take a few moments. When the SBA page opens, note the two columns on the right signify Dollars and Employees. Now simply scroll down until you find your NAICS number that matches the one you found in step 1. The NAICS number is listed in the left column. If your business exceeds the maximum numbers in one of the columns to the right, continue filling out the form, however please check the box stating “Not qualified to be a small business”.
